Sausage peelers are designed to remove cellulose casings from linked sausage products.
The operator feeds the strand of links into the machine and the drive and idler rollers then pull each link against the blade. The blade splits the casing along the length of each link. Compressed air blows the casing away from each link and the vacuum roller pulls the casing off the strand of links and carries the casing out of the machine to a collection container.
